Abstract

The conditions of sulphanilamide diazonium salt interaction with o,o'-dihydroxysubstituted azo dye eriohrom blue-black R have been established. The method of sulphanilamides spectrophotometric determination in finished dosage forms based on the azocoupling reaction of sulphanilamide diazonium salt with the product of the dye redox destruction, viz. β-naphthol, forming a new azo compound has been elaborated. The spectrophotometric characteristics of ten sulphanilamides analytical forms with azo dye (λ=485 nm, ε=(1.1–2.3)∙10³ L∙mol^-1∙cm^-1) and the validation parameters of the developed method (linearity range is 6–64 µg/ml) have been calculated.
